Reliable fencing installation for homes in Worcester Park
We install high-quality residential fencing across Worcester Park and the surrounding South West London areas. Whether replacing storm-damaged panels, upgrading boundary fencing, or installing new closeboard systems, our work focuses on durability, correct post installation, and long-term performance.
We offer a range of fencing solutions, including closeboard fencing, panel systems, traditional morticed posts, concrete post and gravel board installations, and bespoke gates.

Types of Fencing We Install
Closeboard panel fencing
Closeboard panel fencing refers to pre-formed closeboard panels installed between timber or concrete posts. This is a practical and widely used solution for residential boundary replacement.
Panels can be installed with timber posts for a consistent appearance, or with concrete posts and gravel boards to improve resistance to ground moisture and extend lifespan. Posts are set to appropriate depth and secured in concrete to ensure stability.
This system offers a straightforward and efficient fencing solution where speed of installation and uniform appearance are priorities.
Traditional morticed post and rail fencing
Traditional closeboard fencing constructed with morticed posts and horizontal rails is built on site rather than using pre-formed panels. The rails are housed directly into morticed posts, creating a strong mechanical connection and a more rigid overall structure.
Individual boards are then fixed to the rail system, resulting in a robust fence line that performs well over time, particularly in exposed or high-wind areas.
This method is often considered a more durable alternative to panel systems and allows greater flexibility in height, ground variation, and layout.
Jackson Fencing approved installer
As an approved Jackson Fencing installer, we are able to supply and install their full range of pressure-treated fencing systems, backed by a 25-year manufacturer guarantee on domestic installations.
Jackson offer a wide selection of decorative and contemporary panel designs, including slatted systems, acoustic fencing, and premium boundary panels. These systems provide enhanced durability and long-term performance compared to standard treated timber products.
Garden gates
We install a range of timber and framed garden gates to complement new or existing fencing. Gates can be supplied as standard panel-matched designs or as framed and braced units for increased strength and longevity.
All gates are hung and aligned correctly, with suitable ironmongery fitted to ensure smooth operation and long-term reliability.

How our fencing is installed
Fence performance is largely determined by post installation and ground preparation. Before installation begins, we carefully set out the fence line to ensure accurate positioning and a straight, consistent finish.
Posts are typically installed to a minimum depth of approximately 600mm, depending on fence height and ground conditions. Timber posts are set on a compacted base with approximately 50mm of gravel beneath to aid drainage, then secured in concrete to provide long-term stability. This approach helps reduce moisture retention at the base of the post and improves overall durability, particularly in clay-based soils common across Worcester Park and the surrounding areas.
Where concrete posts and gravel boards are specified, these are aligned and installed first to create a robust framework before panels or boards are fitted. For traditional morticed post and rail systems, rails are housed securely into posts before boards are fixed on site.
All timber components we install are pressure-treated to improve resistance to moisture and decay. On completion, waste materials are removed from site and the surrounding area is left clean and tidy.

Fencing FAQs
Fence posts are typically installed to a minimum depth of approximately 600mm, depending on fence height and ground conditions. Posts are set on a compacted base and secured in concrete to provide long-term stability. In clay-based soils common across Worcester Park and surrounding areas, correct post depth and footing are particularly important for durability.
Closeboard panel fencing uses pre-formed panels installed between posts. Built-on-site closeboard fencing is constructed using morticed posts and horizontal rails, with individual boards fixed in place. The built-on-site method creates a more rigid structure and allows greater flexibility in height and layout.
In most residential situations, fencing up to 2 metres in height does not require planning permission. However, restrictions may apply in certain locations, such as properties adjoining highways or within conservation areas. We are happy to discuss your specific situation during a site visit.
Most residential fencing installations are completed within one to three days, depending on the length of fencing, ground conditions and access. Larger projects or bespoke systems may take longer, and this will be outlined clearly within your quotation.
All fencing installations are covered by our 2-year workmanship guarantee. Where Jackson Fencing systems are installed, qualifying products carry a 25-year manufacturer guarantee on domestic installations.
In some cases, individual posts or panels can be replaced. However, where fencing has reached the end of its lifespan or multiple posts have failed, full replacement is often the more durable long-term solution. We can advise following inspection.
